Statement

I have explored circular relationships among objects and focused on the form of my artwork defined by these relations. Something to Something is a painting-installation series where I pulverize stones into mortar, use the powder to draw stones, and position the painting next to stones which have identical shapes with the ones that I drew. However, immutable as they may seem, stones become a handful of powder in my work. They appear and disappear, which implies that they are on a continuum of creation and demise.
