For my project titled #beachlife, I found all of the netting and garbage on a 200 meter stretch of beach on a single afternoon. While collecting, most people looked the other way, pretending I wasn't there, desperate to have a good day without thinking about their frappe straws and plastic forks. The point of this triptych is to juxtapose the enviable Instagrammable glam vacation with the reality of our actions.
** Swimming suit, headscarf, glasses, and earrings are all thrifted. Makeup organic. Plastic bottles recycled. Netting kept and washed for future projects.
