Statement

Small things like the sound of the ocean, the texture in a tree, and the feeling of earth under my feet have mezmerized me since a young age. I fight for our beautiful earth through my art, which aims to touch people the same way earth's flora and fauna did to me.

This piece, titled “Gaea,” presents traditionally organic materials and colors alongside harsh marks. The imagery examines the clash between industrialization and the environment through symbolism such as Gaea, an earth-like circle, and the indication of clock numbers. The piece was created on drywall despite imitating nature, tying the medium of the piece into this clash as well.
