This series of collages is in response to the aspect of terrain that I've always felt most compelled by – water. Growing up on a lake and spending much of my youth swimming, water was and still is, a critical way in which I view my environment and my place in it. The waterfront has been a contemplative sanctuary all my life and is akin to visiting a place of worship for me. In collaging photographs of water with traditional Christian imagery, I am joining these two spiritual outlets and drawing comparisons between the two spaces.
