There are two works of mine that related to this topic. One is called Grate, it involves the performance, installation, and video. I used the 12-foot steel wire to catch the cigarettes which remain at the bottom of the grate. Another one is Straws, I used the straws to measure the depth of the grate. Bio

Yuemin Huang is a currently a graduate student at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago studying Art and Technology Studies. She focuses on understanding the environment we are living in. She utilizes sculpture and installation as a way of communicating with things around us, exploring readymades inherent language and exposing their inconspicuous qualities to the audience, stimulating thought.
